Today has been a slow, yet hectic day around the house. While I was in the kitchen making blueberry muffins, my husband was helping out by doing the laundry. Suddenly he starts hollering, very excited, for me to "Hurry! Come quick!" as he stands at the door to Avery's room.

A few weeks ago, I woke up one morning with a very sore bump under my left arm (in my arm pit). I had no idea what this was, so I decided to look it up online. After reading several articles on WebMD I became convinced that I had breast cancer and that it was my lymph nodes that were swelling under my arm.

When I was first introduced to WoW, it was when my husband (fiance at the time) started playing it. I had heard horrible things about how WoW turns normal teenage boys into computer zombies and I feared I'd never see him again. I was adamant that once his free month had run out that he had to cancel his account - but he cut a deal with me. If I played WoW, and didn't like it, then he'd cancel his account. But if I did like it, then he'd get me my own account and we could play together. Long story short - we have been playing on and off for 4 years now. I still enjoy playing Diablo and WoW with my husband when I'm in the mood (I seem to go on 6 month binges lol) but the rest of the time I play games like Pokemon on my DS (I'm a huge Pokemon fan!) or Plants Vs. Zombies on the computer. While I do enjoy more serious games, I have quite a large soft spot for cute little puzzle and arcade style games. Loco Roco for the PSP is one of my all time favorites. My husband does a good job though of making sure I am at least exposed to new games or different genres. He has a pretty diverse selection of games and tends to keep up with new things a lot better than I do. I'll be sure to keep you all update on all the shenanigans that he and I get into with our friends. -Sam

I was hesitant to include this section in my blog, especially under the given name. I am by no means a parenting expert - nor do I like to give advice or tell other people how to care for their own children. But I do however have a toddler, and from time to time she does insanely cute things or pushes my limits in ways that I never thought possible from such a little person. I know it's a constant struggle for me personally to look on the bright side of things when she gets worked up and throws a tantrum, so my goal with this section of my blog is to share any and all moments of triumph - no matter how big or small. I hope to share these stories with you and the wisdom and lessons that I learn from her. She really has a lot to teach me in her own way, I just need to be patient enough to listen. -Sam

Whenever I tell people I spin, I almost always get these weird looks and you can tell from the expression on their faces that they are trying to figure out what exactly it is I spin - almost as though the first thought that crosses their mind is me spinning around in circles.
