So I've decided to launch a new blog. I tried to start "The Messy Cookbook" a couple years ago and it just never took off. The biggest downfall for me was that I just wasn't good at taking pictures. It's not that I didn't like photography, I do, I love it, I just was not inclined to put a meal on hold so that I could take some photos of my delicious food. And lets face it, my dishes were often quite ugly despite their delicious contents. (what can I say, I'm messy!)

What's that saying about carefully laid plaids getting destroyed? That always seems to happen to me. But still I plan. I'm a master of lists and organization. And I'm a disaster when it comes to follow through. I suppose you could argue that that means my planning musn't be up to par - but to the contrary. If I actually followed my plans as I planned them, then everything would get done and not a hair would be out of place on my pretty little head.

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been absent for so long. In August my husband graduated from AIT and then took a couple of weeks of leave to help me get ready for our move to our FDS. We spent a lot of time together and really enjoyed just relaxing as a family. This past week we've moved in to our new home at our FDS. We are living in Fort Stewart, GA this time around. Besides the horrible fly problem, things are pretty nice here. Are house is spacious, and now that I am unpacking all of our things, it's starting to feel like home! I hope to get back to cooking and blogging as things become more stabled and settled. I also have a few craft projects lined up, and some yarn that is dying to be spun! Hope everyone is doing well! I'll write more soon! xoxo -Sam

So as some of you may remember, I had some car trouble on Monday. When I finally went to bed on Monday night, I thought I had solved most of my problems. Yesterday I intentionally didn't go anywhere, and today my car decided to teach me another lesson!
